As we move closer to Spring, we at Arete Scholars Fund continue to be amazed and grateful regarding the success of our pilot program for the 2010-11 school year.  We set out with a goal to award 150 scholarships and targeted 15 participating schools.  We have awarded over 250 scholarships and have 54 participating schools.

However, the need for school choice in Georgia is great and we are not resting on our laurels.  We are working hard to improve our program, our reach and our service to Arete families and the schools they choose.  On March 9th, 2011 we launched our Online Application System (OLA).  The goal of the OLA system is to make the application process easier and more efficient.  We are proud to report that for our first week, we have over 600 students that have applied for scholarships. 

This demonstrates the demand for educational choice is great and that we are meeting a real need.  These results validate the work our board of directors has done in setting the organizational model we have in place.  We are looking forward to a great 2011-12 school year as we strive to assist families in enabling their children to reach their highest potential.
