Arete Employee Spotlight: Elevating Futures Through Commitment and Compassion

Meet Arthur, Arete’s President. In his role, he carries responsibility for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational success of Arete Scholars. His vision and dedication have helped expand Arete’s programs across states, strengthening the organization’s ability to serve more children and families each year.

Since becoming President in 2021, Arthur’s connection to the mission has been deeply personal. Growing up as one of eleven children, he watched his parents make extraordinary sacrifices so their kids could attend schools that challenged them, supported them, and shaped the people they would become. Their unwavering belief that education can change the trajectory of a child’s life is the same belief that fuels Arthur’s work at Arete today.

With a degree in Mass Communications from Louisiana State University, Arthur understands the importance of building genuine relationships. He brings warmth, empathy, and clarity to every conversation—as he partners with families, donors, and school communities to expand opportunities for students who need them most.

Outside of work, Arthur’s greatest joy is being a dad to his four children. He cherishes every moment spent with his family, and when time allows, he enjoys traveling, playing a round of golf, or cheering on LSU at a sporting event.
