Gratitude and Growth: How ACT Prep Made College AffordableWhen Arete Scholars offered an ACT prep course through a partnership with Studyville, MaKensie saw it as the opportunity she’d been waiting for. With her Math score holding her back from reaching her college goals, the course gave her the structure, strategy, and support she needed, not only to raise her ACT score by four points but to qualify for a state scholarship and gain confidence in her academic future. Arete Scholars Take on WWII Museum Leadership AcademySix Arete scholars from Louisiana and Georgia recently spent a transformative week in New Orleans at The National WWII Museum’s leadership academy. A Place Where Cole Can Thrive: Finding Hope and Confidence Through the Arete ScholarshipAfter struggling in a large public school classroom that couldn’t accommodate his ADHD, dyslexia, and dysgraphia, Cole is getting a fresh start this fall at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic School. It will be his first year at a school designed to meet his unique needs. With smaller class sizes, individualized learning support, and a warm, welcoming environment, Cole is finally in a place where he can regain his confidence and thrive.
