An Arete Thanksgiving of Service, Community, and Gratitude

As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re reminded not only to give thanks but to lean in and help lift up the people around us. In partnership with our friends at Bemana, Arete Scholars helped provide Thanksgiving meals to 20 Arete families at Good Shepherd School in New Orleans.

Having Bemana team members, family members, and friends join us at Good Shepherd School, where Arete currently provides scholarships to 144 students, brought an extra sense of excitement and warmth to this year’s Thanksgiving meal drive.

In addition to sponsoring the holiday meals, Bemana generously supplied extra groceries to help fill each family’s pantry during the holiday season. Parents expressed heartfelt thanks and shared how the meals would allow them to gather as a family without the stress of holiday expenses. Others said the extra groceries came at exactly the right time.

Arete also visited Gardere Community Christian School in Baton Rouge to deliver additional Thanksgiving meals to Arete families within their school community. This visit was a reminder that little acts of generosity, done with lots of love, can brighten someone’s day and instill a renewed sense of hope.

Thanks to Bemana and their friends and family for their partnership and support of the children and families of Arete Scholars.

To Good Shepherd School and Gardere Community Christian School, thank you for your unwavering commitment to forming compassionate, resilient students who thrive in and beyond the classroom.

To our Arete families, partners, and supporters, we are deeply grateful for you. You make Arete’s life-changing mission possible and empower us to continue serving and supporting over 3,300 remarkable children and their families.

Wishing everyone a season filled with gratitude, generosity, and hope.
