Arete Employee Spotlight: Inspiring Change with Leadership and Impact

Meet Marilyn, Arete’s Vice President of Operations. Marilyn provides leadership to Program Directors, ensuring Arets operates with excellence and integrity. She oversees programmatic data systems that support both the organization’s day-to-day efficiency and its long-term expansion goals.

In her role, Marilyn also develops, implements, and manages new programs, initiatives, and partnerships that align with Arete’s mission and complement development strategies to secure additional funding. She collaborates closely with finance and operations teams to ensure the successful launch of new state programs and oversees the buildout of systems to accommodate their unique needs.

Since joining in 2010, Marilyn has played an integral role in advancing Arete’s mission. As a mother of six, she understands that every child learns differently and thrives in unique environments.

With a B.A. in social Work, Marilyn brings both professional expertise and personal empathy to her work. She even taught English in Taiwan. Outside of Arete, she enjoys tennis, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Her favorite destination she has travelled to so far has been Croatia.
